Doctrinal Basis
Teaching and learning, worship and leadership training in Piula is based on the Apostle and Nicene Creeds, as well as the founding statements of faith as prescribed by the Constitution of the Methodist Church in Samoa.

E le uma le Alofa (Love Never Faileth)
Though the
worship life of Piula is through everything we do 24/7, our rituals is centered
at the "House of the Lord" - the Chapel.
The Piula
Theological College's Chapel is one of the icons and monuments of the Methodist
Church in Samoa and abroad. It was built between 1911 and 1921 by Rev. E.
G. Neil with the help of the Samoan builders and labourers, whom
dedicated their strength, skills and knowledge in building a dwelling for
the Lord.
The chapel is the primary source of our "faith
seeking understanding".
Peter Turner Library
The
Piula Theological Library exists to grant theological education for the Piula
community, be it learning, teaching, or even research aspiration.
Strategically, the ultimate goal is to generate and verify update ideals for
Christian nurturing and/or inspire spiritual instructions for moral living of
future ministers of the gospel. Piula Library invites ecumenical learners or
readers and researchers who wish to take advantage of its resources with open
hands.
The Piula Theological Library holds 19,543 books and can seats approximately 30
readers. Collection areas include General, Theses, Periodicals, References and
Pacific research materials. It is classified using the Dewey Decimal
Classification. The library also offers photocopying and scanning services.
The Library receives its funding of $10,000 ST from the help of the Piula Old
Boys Association annually. It also receives some donations in a form of funds
or books from members of the church for upgrading the facilities the college
uses for its work. And with due respect, the college wishes to accept or
receive any donations that you may wish to offer for the college library.

FATUMEA CAVE POOL
The Fatumea Cave Pool is one of the most popular (if not the best) of fresh water tourist attraction in the country (Samoa). The pool is located right at the mouth of the cave that extended more than 200m inland, underneath the college compound.
Entrance to the pools is charged:
- ST$5.00 - Adults
- ST$3.00 - Children
Opening Hours
- Monday: 8:00 - 4:00 pm
- Tuesday - Saturday: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
- Sunday: Closed
FEW RULES TO BE OBSERVED
- Don’t walk across the cricket field. Follow the main road.
- Alcohol and illegal drugs are not permitted.
- All visitors must pay entrance fees
- Secure your belongings. The college is not responsible for lost items.
- Nudity is strictly forbidden.
- Swimwear are allowed only in pool area.
- No fishing in the pool and conservation area.
- No diving or jumping into the pool.
- There is no lifeguard on site.
- Place all rubbish in the bins.
- Do not feed the fish.
The Chapel is located right at the top of the mouth of the cave. Though the pool is close to the shoreline, the freshness and the coolness of the water the cave provides is highly admired by the tourist and the local people who visited and took a dive in the Fatumea Cave Pool of Piula Theological College.

The College is giving its best to maintain and upgrade the pool and its facilities to acceptable standards for the tourist market. Unfortunately, this is beyond of our monetary capabilities, as the College is a non-profitable institution. Therefore, we humbly seek your kind assistance in any way you can for this course.
